The successful candidate for this position will be a 1099 contractor with Music Ministry International and be responsible for the following:

1.INTRODUCTION
The Government requires organist services in support of the VA Healthcare System (NF/SG VHS), Chaplain Service.
2. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
2.1 The contractor shall perform organist musician services for the proper intended performance of music as required by the Government for Chapel Worship IAW any policies, procedures, and governing doctrine.
2.1 The contractor shall always act in a professional manner. They shall work in harmony with others and follow the established patterns of interaction. Tact and courtesy are mandatory when interacting with patients and staff.
2.2 The contractor shall provide accompaniment for weekly worship services approximately one (1) hour per week fifty-six (52) times per year.
2.3 Memorial, holiday, and other special event services may be requested by the Government for up to eight (8) one-hour services per year.
2.4 The contractor must be able to read music. Music style is mostly traditional sacred hymns with some contemporary songs.
2.5 Responsibilities include several pre-service songs, a hymn, communion song, and postlude.
3. PERFORMANCE LOCATION AND HOURS
3.1 Primary place of performance are:
Lake City VAMC, 619 S. Marion Ave., Lake City, FL 32025 (chapel).
3.2 Working spaces will be provided by the Government.
3.3 Government normal duty hours are 9:30 AM Sundays in Lake City. Contractor access will be provided during this time.
3.4 Outside normal duty hours may occur. These times shall be coordinated with and at the convenience of the Government.
4.  MUSICIAN QUALIFICATIIONS
4.1 A minimum of one year-experience leading Christian worship with accompaniment on piano for comprehensive worship service requirements.
4.2 The service provider shall provide documentation of the following:
a. Ability to demonstrate rhythmic accuracy, music sensitivity, and overall appreciation of liturgical aesthetics.
b. Demonstrate effective communication skills with a variety of age groups, to include children, within the pluralistic environment of the Chaplain Corps.
