The successful candidate for this position will be a 1099 contractor with Music Ministry International and be responsible for the following: 
1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
1.1 Scope of Responsibilities:
1.1.1.  The Protestant Religious Education planning, managing, coordinating and implementing activities shall be continuous throughout the 12-month contract period with increased workloads during the months of January-June in preparation for Vacation Bible School (VBS).
1.1.2.  You shall recruit volunteers to support Protestant Religious programs at no more than 50 volunteers. 
1.1.3.  Shall be able to commit a minimum 20 hours per week at the chapel to accomplish position requirements. Flex hours are authorized for this position.

1.1.4.  Provide services for up to 110 students.

1.2. Period of Performance/Place of Performance
1.2.1. This requirement calls for support at Edwards Air Force Base, California. The Period of Performance in the contract is anticipated from 22 September 2019 - 21 September 2024.
1.3 The coordinator must participate in safety training and update skills as needed.
1.4.  Qualifications:  The Coordinator shall:
1.4.1.  Show a continuing effort to update his/her knowledge of current Protestant religious education practices.

1.4.2.   Provide references upon request.

1.4.3.  Be a Protestant in good standing who celebrates the sacraments on a regular basis. Shall become an active participant in the Edwards community of faith in order to have an understanding of the special needs of the military community.

1.4.4.  Maintain ethical standards equivalent to the Uniform Code of Military Justice and shall work in accordance with the chaplain requirements

1.4.5.  Maintain a good rapport with the congregation and be discreet in character and someone who will maintain absolute privacy and confidentiality for any issues either seen or heard.

1.4.6.  Submit a work schedule that allows for the accomplishment of all position requirements.

1.4.7  Be subject to background check.

2. Duties and Responsibilities.  The Coordinator shall:
2.1  Attend regular Protestant staff meeting and weekly chapel staff meeting.

2.2  Identify supplies for AWANA and order them within 2 weeks of receiving request.

2.3  Provide a weekly attendance report to the Protestant supervisor.

2.4  Manage the distribution of curricula, craft and food supplies for all planned Religious Education programs.

2.5  Prepare and distribute specific materials requested by department coordinators and teachers.

2.6  Prepare packets for department coordinators to include staff rosters, job descriptions, daily themes, teacher recruitment forms, projected attendance, curricula distribution formula and student enrollment procedures.

2.7  Design and distribute publicity fliers, teacher recruitment and student registration forms to all chapels.

2.8  Recruit and assign volunteer teachers to classes.

2.9  Develop and maintain a roster of all RE chapel volunteers that is organized by program (AWANA, Small Group, etc.).

2.10 Review roster at least monthly checking for accuracy and currency.

2.11 Contact with all program leaders at least monthly to ensure they have everything they need to run their programs.

2.12 Track and verify volunteer hours.

2.13 Collect registration forms and compile classroom student rosters.

2.14 Complete a weekly walk through of meeting location at the end of each program to ensure that the building is clean (includes collecting the trash and spraying designated area with bleach solution) and secured.

2.15 Prepare and distribute specific materials requested by directors and teachers.

2.16 Develop annual program calendar and budget projections.

2.17 Monitor/track/properly maintain all funds spent by the youth Program, to account for what is spent and ensure fund requests are completed in accordance with HC AFIs/OIs.

2.18 Work closely with Chapel Tithes and Offerings (CTOF) account manager to ensure timely submission of funds requests to meet program plan and distribution/reimbursement of funds to program leaders.

2.19 Lead the “Chapel 21” concept as directed by the Edwards AFB Protestant Chaplain lead.
