1.  The successful candidate for this position will be a 1099 contractor with Music Ministry International and be responsible for the following:

2. REQUIREMENTS: The Instructor shall perform the following:
2.1. Iconography Instruction: Teaches students practical skills needed to paint and write icons through
a class conducted over the course of a two hour block.
3. SPECIFIC SERVICES: Iconography Instructor for the Fort Belvoir Chapel Community as follows:
3.1. Iconography Instructor. Instructor will teach and coach a class of students in theology,
aesthetics, and practice of painting Byzantine Eastern Orthodox Iconography. Each class shall run
for a 2 hour session twice per month [24 sessions annually] (Scheduled by the Senior Chaplain
Priest or his representative-typically the session occurs on Tuesdays). The Iconography group shall
meet for additional hours each session but the Iconography Instructor is only at the meeting for the
first 2 hours.
4. INSTRUCTOR QUALIFICATIONS: The Instructor must provide a resume and documentation to
substantiate personal qualifications. Although a specific degree is not mandatory, any credentials
pertaining to this position, training and experience is considered in the award of this award.
4.1. Be a person with personal experience in iconography.
4.2. Be a person who demonstrates a high level of theological knowledge associated with the art of
iconography.
4.3. Be a person with the ability to instruct others on the creation of icons and theological knowledge
necessary to interpret religious meanings associated with them.
