The successful candidate for this position will be a 1099 contractor with Music Ministry International and be responsible for Protestant Religious Education Coordinator (PREC) at Maxwell AFB, AL (Fiscal Year 2026):
- Purpose: The PREC will execute the Protestant Worship Community's (PWC) religious education vision under the guidance of the Lead Protestant Chaplain (LPC) and Chaplain Corps Leadership Team (CLT).
- Responsibilities: The PREC will plan, coordinate, and execute Protestant religious education programs for all age groups (1 year to adult). Duties include teaching, organizing events, recruiting/training volunteers, managing curriculum, overseeing childcare volunteers, and ensuring compliance with Air Force policies and standards.
- Work Hours: Minimum 20 hours per week (80 hours/month), including Sundays from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Additional hours may be required during peak seasons (e.g., Easter, Christmas, Vacation Bible School). Office hours and schedules must be approved by the LPC.
- General Duties:
- Undergo background checks and installation records checks.
- Adhere to the LPC’s religious organization requirements.
- Supervise volunteers, maintain identification badges, and report volunteer hours.

- Compliance Requirements:
- Follow Air Force security, safety, and traffic regulations.
- Obtain base identification and vehicle passes for personnel.
- Ensure compliance with Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) protocols.
- Participate in security education and training programs.
- Adhere to policies on cellular phone use, firearms, and illegal weapons.
- Conflict of Interest: Relatives of personnel in the supervisory chain or those with potential conflicts of interest (e.g., family members of chaplains or DoD employees) are ineligible for this position.
- Additional Notes:
- The coordinator is responsible for taxes, licenses, and compliance with applicable laws.
